Making a Difference and Putting into Action

In order to make a difference, I feel that I need to start with my self. The one thing that I learned in my Social Work classes is in order to help a client you need to put your self in their shoes.I know it seems very selfish to be thinking about myself when your trying to make a difference in other peoples lives;although to have a better outlook on things you need to be able critique your self. So this year I thought I should start my new years resolution early. The only difference is my resolution will be:1)Measurable goals, 2)to make a goal every month 3)Do monthly recaps on my accomplishments. This bright idea was inspired by a book that I happened to stumble on while I was at Boarders Book Store. This book is called the "THE HAPPINESS PROJECT," by Gretchen Rubin. What is the Happiness Project you ask,its basically creating your own project to take specific steps to boost your happiness.

So starting December 1 I will start with getting back into my exercise routine and staying positive.Wish me luck! Oh yah... If anyone was interested in creating their own happiness project there is a website that will give you more of an insight to how to go about with your very own happiness project.www.happiness-project.com Check it out.
